2010 AA WOKC Golf Classic a Success!

Thanks to all of you who helped make the 8^th Annual American Airlines WOKC Golf Classic a success!  The 4-person scramble was held October 28, 2010 at Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, Texas. The weather was perfect for our 90+ golfers to enjoy a fun day of golf and the after “Par-Tee” which included an open bar, live and silent auctions, and dinner. We held the first annual “Carson Hold-Em” card game which was in honor of Carson Leslie, a former 2008 WOKC ambassador who lost his battle with medulloblastoma at age 17. Carson loved the game of Texas Hold-Em so we created this special version in honor of him. The winner of the game won a roundtrip ticket on American Airlines.

Players had the chance to win some incredible prizes while enjoying a day of golf.  On-course prizes including an American Airlines round trip ticket on the 18^th hole and a new Jaguar XF & new Lexus IS-C convertible as hole-in-one prizes. Golfers were served lunch from Jersey Mike’s Subs before moving out onto the course, and each player received a player appreciation bag.

Auction items included American Airlines tickets, a Texas Rangers’ package, golf packages, a Dallas Stars’ package, a Nascar package, and gift certificates to top restaurants in Dallas and Fort Worth, sports memorabilia, and much more!
