Santa’s Club, a partner of WOKC, launched a virtual way to continue a holiday tradition this year…
“Using innovative technology and an exclusive online platform, Santa’s Club gives children (and adults) the opportunity to have a live, one-on-one chat with the big man himself.
Here’s how it works:
- Parents choose from a variety of packages, starting at $34.99, on the Santa’s Club website. They can opt for a pre-recorded session, where Santa will send a personal two minute video message, or schedule a five minute live visit starting November 14. They fill out a questionnaire to tell Santa their child’s name, age, siblings’ and pets’ names and anything else they’d like to share.
- Kids get a special letter in the mail from the North Pole, inviting them to meet with Santa.
- During the live video session, Santa talks to children from a cozy setting, greeting them by name and asking questions that show he really knows and cares about them.
- A recording of their session becomes a treasured keepsake that will bring back special holiday memories.
Evelsizer got the idea for Santa’s Club in a Texas mall seven years ago when he ran into a friend who had been waiting in line for an hour and half so his kids could meet Santa. Just as they were reaching the front of the line, an elf came out with a sign saying that Santa had gone to lunch…
